Engineering Design Show developments
23 September 2013
The Engineering Design Show 2013, which takes place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on 2nd and 3rd October, will include a number of new elements, the most significant of these being the launch of the Electronics Design Show, which will co-locate with the Engineering Design Show, occupying the whole of Hall 2. This year's event will also see a new section devoted to the engineering materials sector, called Engineering Materials Live!
A new panel session has also been added to the conference, entitled, ‘Additive Manufacturing – what’s in it for me?’. Featuring some of the UK’s leading experts in additive manufacturing it will advise delegates on the realities behind one of the hottest topics in engineering design right now.
Issues covered will include: what does 3D printing really mean for design engineers? Is it really going to transform their working life? How can it aid them in their job right now and how will it do so in the future? When does it have real value and when is it simply the wrong tool for the job?
This session will bring together the leading experts in the panel to answer these questions and many more.
