Trio presents SCARA robot range at Drives & Controls
28 March 2022
Trio Motion Technology, the UK manufacturer of motion-first automation control solutions, is presenting its new SCARA robot range to the UK public for the first time at the Drives & Controls show.
Trio’s new SCARA range provides robot and machine integration, with multiple machine and robot axes synchronised from one controller.
SCARA robots can optimise productivity but handshaking between a robot and machine controller usually requires a long time to set up. Interfacing separate robot and machine controllers can also present long term reliability challenges for the end user. Trio resolves this issue as multiple robots and machine axes can be coordinated from a single Trio controller.
Trio returns to the show for the first time in over 10 years with a hall entry position on stand E120. After establishing a stronghold among OEMs in China, Trio is expanding in its home UK market and will present its motion-centric machine controllers, I/O systems, servo drives and motors, and now, its own range of SCARA robots.
“Trio has a long history manufacturing motion controllers, and with the backing of China’s Estun Automation, our expanding capability means that we’re now providing OEMs with complete automation solutions for applications with high demands in motion control,” says Trio’s president, Tom Alexander.
“At Drives & Controls we’ll be presenting Trio’s motion and robotic control solutions for applications including CNC, packaging, and cutting, and we’ll also be publicly showing our SCARA robot solution for the first time in the UK.”
