Feature rich
24 February 2015
Parker has extended the AC10 range of compact variable speed drives up to a power rating of 180kW. With power ratings now ranging from 0.2 to 180 kW, the AC10 series is aimed at applications requiring a compact, feature rich drive suitable for light, medium and heavy duty drive duties.

In addition to the extended power rating, other newly introduced functionality includes PMAC (Permanent Magnet AC) motor control for drives up to 22kW, fire mode and ‘fly catching’ – a feature that recognises and matches the motor’s frequency on start-up to avoid the generation of EMF.
The design enhancements follow closely on the heels of a recent upgrade that saw the introduction of an IP66/NEMA 4x rated enclosure for protection against the ingress of dust and water.
