14 September 2016
The Rt. Hon Lord Francis Maude of Horsham, former Minister of State for Trade and Investment and Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General, will be the headline seminar speaker at the PPMA Total Show 2016.
Opening the show on Tuesday 27 September, Lord Francis Maude will discuss the growing importance of global standards and the role of the British Standards Institution (BSI) following the recent EU referendum. He will also highlight the importance of the manufacturing industry for the UK economy and reveal the need in the post-Brexit world for business to cultivate a genuinely global outlook.
Speaking about his appearance, Lord Francis Maude, said: “As Trade Minister I found huge goodwill for Britain around the world and a sense that we stand for real quality and reliability. It’s important now that we do not underestimate the importance of manufacturing in our economy. I look forward to sharing my experience and insights with exhibitors and visitors at the PPMA Total Show 2016.”
Taking place from 27 – 29 September 2016, the PPMA Total Show will showcase the UK’s latest innovations in processing and packaging machinery, materials, containers and packaging design. Incorporating PPMA, Pakex and Interphex, the show aims to provide businesses across the packaging design and pharmaceutical sectors with an unrivalled opportunity to reach the right decision makers and showcase precisely how their solutions can address a number of particular packaging and processing challenges.
