The way forward for industrial transformation
03 March 2020
At Hannover Messe CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) will showcase how its latest open network technology, CC-Link IE TSN, is helping leaders guide their industrial transformation. In effect, CLPA’s solution allows businesses to strike the right balance between the demand for future-proof technologies and the need to address current requirements in industrial communications.

Following the success of the CLPA’s debut at Hannover Messe 2019, the organisation will once again exhibit at the world’s leading tradeshow for industrial technology in Hall 9, Stand G23. In line with the aim of the fair’s 72nd edition to showcase integrated solutions for the industrial transformation of businesses and how automation plays a crucial role in tackling this objective, the CLPA will show a live demonstration of a future-oriented CC-Link IE TSN environment.
More precisely, different automation devices will communicate with each other over one single CC-Link IE TSN-based open network. Visitors to the stand will be able to witness how the combination of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) and Gigabit Ethernet in CC-Link IE TSN allows the connected drives and controls to be fully synchronised and share different types of information, effectively prioritising time-critical control data over TCP/IP traffic.
In addition, the technology supports high-performance motion control applications and is building support across the industry for the implementation of compatible devices using software or hardware solutions, as well as supporting 100 Mbit and Gigabit Ethernet physical layers. By handling current control needs and existing equipment, while also providing a path to the converged networks of the future by means of TSN, CC-Link IE TSN offers a gateway to the future of industrial communications while also addressing today’s needs.
Visitors will also be able to see how an ever-increasing number of leaders in the automation sector support CLPA’s open network technologies and are committed to promoting their use worldwide. In particular, during the event, the CLPA plans to announce an important new partnership with a leading industry player. This will mark a substantial growth in the organisation and will significantly help the CLPA in its plans for global growth and development.
