Endoline re-engineers random case sealer
04 November 2026
ENDOLINE AUTOMATION has completed a major redesign of its established 7048 Fully Automatic Random Case Sealer, enhancing energy efficiency, reducing its footprint and simplifying operation and maintenance for increasingly automated production environments.

Evolving from Endoline’s established 704 random case sealer, the 7048 builds on decades of proven reliability and longevity. Its latest redesign brings that established platform in line with the demands of today’s increasingly automated production environments.
The latest generation has now been comprehensively re-engineered to reflect the requirements of increasingly automated manufacturing facilities, while retaining the flexibility and performance that have underpinned the system’s adoption.
A central focus of the redesign has been simplifying the machine. Cable requirements within the 7048 have been significantly reduced, helping to improve reliability, simplify maintenance and reduce build time.
New sliding access doors have also enabled Endoline to reduce the machine’s overall footprint to less than one metre wide, helping manufacturers accommodate greater levels of automation where factory floor space is at a premium.
Machine access has been improved further as part of the redesign, alongside an intuitive HMI interface developed to make the system easier to operate and service, supporting faster intervention and minimising unnecessary downtime.
Designed for production environments requiring flexibility across multiple case formats, the 7048 automatically seals cases arriving in random sequence without the need for manual adjustment. The system detects the height and width of each incoming case and adjusts automatically to accommodate different sizes, removing the need to pre-sort cases before sealing.
Its four-column construction provides stability during rapid height adjustments and enables the machine to consistently seal cases at speeds of up to 14 cases per minute, while the chassis is engineered for continuous production environments.
Andrew Yates, managing director of Endoline Automation, comments: “The 7048 has been part of our portfolio for many years, but manufacturing environments have changed considerably during that time. Automation has increased, factory space is under greater pressure and manufacturers quite rightly expect equipment to be easier to operate, maintain and integrate.
“Rather than changing the fundamental principles of a system that has proved itself over many years, we have looked closely at how we could evolve the design around those changing requirements. Reducing the footprint, simplifying the machine and improving access all contribute to making the latest 7048 better suited to the production environments our customers are operating today.”
The redesign forms part of Endoline’s wider focus on continually evolving its established automation portfolio in response to changing manufacturing requirements. By combining proven machine principles with updated engineering and controls, the company aims to help manufacturers increase automation without unnecessarily adding complexity to their production lines.
