Radwell showcases world-class repair facility
17 October 2019
Radwell, the industrial automation supplier with a 58,000sqm site in Staffordshire, held its annual Open Day at its Newcastle-under-Lyme facility on Thursday 12th September. The event formed part of their 40th Anniversary celebrations, and the site was open to business visitors and customers with tours of the facility and live engineering demonstrations.
The Lymedale Business Park site serves the manufacturing, engineering, electronics and automotive industries and houses over 100 test carts and robot capabilities, including specially modified systems that test obsolete automation parts and electronic controls. It also houses a Repair Centre and Servo Motor Shop that handles thousands of parts annually for customers in machine downtime situations.
The UK site opened its doors in 2011 and has since invested in expansion to create a modern, technically advanced manufacturing facility. Its customer focused multilingual call centre speaks 12 languages and serves over 50,000 customers in 172 EMEA countries.
Martin Thomas, Radwell’s European Marketing Manager, says, “We think locally as we do business globally which is reinforced by our glocalisation strategy. Every year we play host to visitors from across the world, and customers are impressed by our repair services, the quantity of products in our warehouse and engineering capabilities. We think it is important to present a positive image of UK businesses and welcome guests all year round.”
