Constructed from CF8-grade stainless-steel, the J6S-X steam traps feature thermostatic air venting, which operates using the temperature difference between steam and air. A combination of precision-ground float, constant water seal ensures a steam tight seal, even under no-load conditions.

The units can be installed on a variety of equipment that uses steam as a heat source, where they provide continuous, smooth, relatively low-velocity condensate discharge as loads vary. The patented self-modulating design also only features a single moving part – the free float – which prevents concentrated wear and provides a long, low maintenance life.
