What To Expect If You Fit Copies
02 November 2012
Parker Racor has recently introduced its new ‘Why Buy Racor’ brochure, which takes an objective look at unauthorised Racor fuel filter copies and seeks to give helpful advice on the issues that can arise from using counterfeit products.

According to the company, it is imperative that aftermarket spares fitted during maintenance conform to original manufacturers’ specifications and are genuine. The brochure highlights the benefits a customer can expect when buying a genuine Racor product, the standards used in manufacturing and the international legislation they comply to.
"The issue of fuel filter copies is constantly being addressed here at Parker Racor,” says Derek Martin, aftermarket BDM at Parker Racor. "To fit non genuine parts is a mistake that will almost certainly cause problems in terms of productivity, engine life, cost and lost profit. This brochure gives operators useful advice on what to expect if they fit copied spares.”
