Control Software Solutions delivers control software for ESS machining station

The machining station forms part of a complex process requiring precise, reliable and repeatable motion control. CSS was responsible for developing the control system software, which was implemented using Emerson test and measurement solutions - NI LabVIEW software and an NI CompactRIO real-time controller. The system provides full control of the machining station’s operations, including coordinated motion, safety interlocks, and process monitoring.

A key requirement was robust communication with the master control system. This was achieved through an OPC UA interface, enabling data exchange between the local controller and the wider facility network.

The project highlights CSS’s capability in delivering bespoke control and automation solutions for high-technology environments, combining robust software engineering with a clear understanding of industrial integration requirements.
