Rolls Royce, Airbus and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty talk growth at MACH 2014
31 March 2014
The Manufacturing Technology Association (MTA) has announced the free to attend seminar programme for MACH 2014, which takes place on 7th-11th April at the NEC, Birmingham.
The programme features representatives from many of the world’s leading manufacturing organisations who will discuss the bright future for the UK’s manufacturing industry and reflect on the factors that have driven the recent growth it has enjoyed.
All aspects of the manufacturing technology industry fall under the scope of the seminar programme, which aims to cater to the broad spectrum of professionals the exhibition attracts. Leading OEMs such as Rolls Royce, Airbus and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty will offer insights into the current opportunities in their supply chains, and share advice on topics such as retaining talent, and breaking into emerging markets. UK research and development success stories such as the Bloodhound SCC project will also be presented.
"The MACH 2014 seminar programme offers a rare opportunity to hear the views of the world’s leading authorities on the issues that matter in manufacturing today,” said Graham Dewhurst, Director General of the Manufacturing Technologies Association. "February marked the eleventh consecutive month that UK manufacturing has expanded and those that attend our seminars will learn how they can capitalise on this growth and ensure it is sustained.”
Trevor Williams, Chief Economist at show sponsor, Lloyds Bank, will be presenting the economic backdrop against which the industry operates as part of MACH 2014’s seminar programme, which will run over the course of all five days of the show. It will also feature lectures from thought leaders from Cranfield University and the Manufacturing Technology Centre. On Tuesday morning, the emerging 3D Printing and additive manufacturing sector will be explored with a series of four lectures. Chris Williams of Empire Cycles will open the session by discussing how his company used the technology to create the world’s first 3D printed bike frame.
The seminar theatre will be located in the UK Manufacturing Zone and the full seminar programme can be found here.
