12 August 2019
The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) is pleased to announce that Andrew Hodgson, Strategic Lead – Digitalisation, at Siemens has been appointed as Vice President of the Association.
Hodgson has been a member of the MTA Board for a number of years and also chairs the Association’s Technical Committee, which looks at activities in advanced manufacturing technologies, such as additive manufacturing, automation and industry Standards.
He is the Strategic Lead for Digitalisation which incorporates Siemens’ activities in advanced manufacturing technologies, such as additive manufacturing and robotics. Andrew also champions ‘intra-company business’ enabling other Siemens divisions to maximise the opportunities presented in their digital journey.
James Selka DL, MTA CEO, said “We’re extremely pleased to welcome Andrew Hodgson to the role of Vice President of the MTA. Andrew has been a dedicated member of our Board and his level of expertise has been of great benefit to our Technical Committee. We look forward to working even more closely together in his new position as Vice President, especially in relation to the enormous opportunities for increased productivity in UK manufacturing that accelerating digitalisation brings.”
Hodgson commented: “It is a great honour to be appointed as Vice President of the MTA. Our association works hard to both represent and inform our members in a fast-changing manufacturing environment. I look forward to working even closer with James Selka and his team, ensuring we continue to progress as an Association and accurately reflect the diverse range of technologies we champion.”
