Virus & malware detection
22 April 2014
Available through NACOM Automation, MB Connect Line’s mbEAGLE is reported to be the first device that detects viruses and malware like Stuxnet on S7 PLCs.

Using a reference backup this compact device continuously monitors the static memory area of S7-300 and S7-400 controllers. Manipulation via malware and viruses are quickly detected as well as any ‘suspicious’ changes to the control program that are made. If a change occurs the operator receives a message by e-mail or SMS.
Additionally, the mbEAGLE offers a function for the continuous backup of the current data. This ensures that, for example, ongoing optimisations on formulations and regulators are stored if the PLC hardware needs to be replaced. The recovery of the control program is directly executed via the mbEAGLE. No manufacturer software is required.
