The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) is pleased to announce that the MACH 2014 Exhibition is now a double award winning show. Following on from the success of winning Best Exhibition at The Association Excellence Awards back in February, MACH once again picked up the top prize, this time at the Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards 2015.
MACH was nominated in the Exhibition of the Year category at the awards alongside the British Home Enhancement Trade Association, the National Association of Funeral Directors and the National Caravan Council.
MACH 2014 took place at the NEC in Birmingham between 7th – 11th April 2014, showcasing a staggering 6,500 tonnes of live working machinery and attracted over 23,000 visitors representing diverse sectors across the whole of the UK Manufacturing.
The Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards is an annual event, which is now in its thirteenth year. It has formal Government backing from the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills and recognises, rewards and promotes best practice amongst Trade Associations in the UK.
Commenting on receiving the award MTA CEO James Selka DL, said "It is a great testament to everyone involved in MACH that the exhibition is now a double award winning show. I’d like to pay tribute to the hard work of the MTA team for delivering an outstanding exhibition, which owed much to all of the fantastic exhibitors who continue to push the boundaries of innovation in UK manufacturing.”
Geoff Bryant, chairman of the MTA MACH Exhibition committee and MD of Citizen Machinery, said "It is a tremendous mark of recognition for MACH to have scooped this award. The Exhibition has over 100 years of history and is constantly innovating to make sure that it is the essential place to see the latest technology in a great setting. MACH is a product of the passion of the UK’s manufacturing industry and the hard work that all of our exhibitors put into making it such an outstanding showcase. There really is nothing quite like it anywhere else in the country.”
