MACH Marks A Century Of Innovation
02 November 2012
The MTA’s MACH Exhibition celebrated its centenary and looked to the future at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), Coventry this October.
The event marked the 100th anniversary of the first show, the International Engineering & Machinery Exhibition in 1912 and highlighted the innovations in manufacturing technology that have been showcased over the years.
Throughout its history MACH has benefited from being organised by the manufacturing sector itself, enabling it to evolve to meet industry and technology changes. MACH as an event has developed an international reputation and is well positioned to rise to the challenges of the future.
The occasion also marked the launch of MACH 2014 which will be held at the NEC between 7-11th April.
Guests were given a tour of the MTC before being entertained by the guest speaker, Robert Llewellyn – presenter of TV’s Scrapheap Challenge and champion of all things engineering.
