Chain company opening doors

Located in the heart of the Midland’s historical chain industry, the company moved to larger premises on the same industrial park in August. The new building was officially opened by Bob Wellsbury, managing director of Donghua Limited, and members of his UK management team together with colleagues from the Netherlands, Hungary and Germany.

Donghua’s new building is three and a half times the size of their former site. It boasts a 25,000 square foot warehouse which can hold over 2000 tonnes of chain, complete with new loading bay and additional Kardex shuttle unit for storage and retrieval of small components. The Universal Attachment Chain and Bespoke Chain workshop has been enhanced further to meet demand and an etching machine for their Sprockets range has been added. The new facilities will help meet the growing demand for their products and support their presence in the UK for many years to come.

Speaking about the company’s impressive growth over the last seven years, Bob Wellsbury said: “One of our biggest strengths is we only sell to Distribution and OEMs and do not supply direct to end-users, unlike other manufacturers.
