08 November 2016

Drives and controls manufacturer, Bosch Rexroth, will highlight its expertise in training and standards at the Digitising Manufacturing conference on Tuesday 15th November 2016, at The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry.

The event will cover key topics including policy, education, business models, standards and the implementation of digital technologies in the industry.

Directed at end users, the conference will feature a number of expert speakers from across Europe, including Martin Hankel, Director Project Industry 4.0 Technology and Rüdiger Walther, Head of Technical Sales Training at the Drive & Control Academy both from Bosch Rexroth Germany.

Martin Hankel will discuss standardisation in relation to Industry 4.0, while Rüdiger Walther will provide insight into training and the skills required for Industry 4.0. Specifically, he will identify how to train individuals and highlight overall ‘best practice’.

In addition to this attendees will be provided with a tour of the Lloyds Bank Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC) based on the MTC campus; this is also home to a Bosch Rexroth training room.

Andrew Minturn, Business Development at Bosch Rexroth says: “The Digitising Manufacturing conference is the perfect opportunity for forward-thinking companies to get a taste for Industry 4.0 and learn from leading experts on how to exploit the latest technologies in manufacturing.

“Industry 4.0 is a reality and it is happening right now. We believe that education and training is essential for any business looking to implement Industry 4.0 and that’s why we’ll be leading discussions on this subject, which we hope will inspire end users to embark on their very own digital journey towards Industry 4.0.”

Representatives from Bosch Rexroth will be available to talk to on the day in the display area of the conference. Here, they will be exhibiting a number of products including the brain of Industry 4.0, ActiveCockpit and providing demonstrations of electric drives and controls equipment, IndraMotion MLC and motion simulation technology product, Hexapod.
