The miniature servo controller for extreme conditions
06 July 2017
A rugged, compact powerhouse: The new ESCON Module 50/8 HE servo controller from maxon motor controls DC motors up to 750 W, even in the harshest ambient conditions.

The Swiss drive specialist maxon motor is expanding its range of servo controllers by adding the ESCON Module 50/8 HE (Harsh Environment). This compact plug-in module with a nominal current of 8 A is a true powerhouse, designed for brushed and brushless DC motors with a peak power of up to 750 W.
However, the controller's true strength is its resilience: It performs reliably at ambient temperatures from -40 to +92°C. The electronics are protected against contaminants and corrosion by a polymer coating. Even silicones and lubricant oils do not stick. In addition, the device is highly resistant against vibrations and shocks.
Heat sink is available as an option
The new ESCON Module 50/8 HE perfectly complements maxon's existing range of ESCON controllers. It has numerous configurable digital inputs and outputs and is easy and intuitive to set up using the ESCON Studio software. The module is available in two versions, with and without a heat sink.
