Believed to be the first sub-750W energy-saving motors to comply with the Premium-Efficiency IE3 standard, the Eta-Plus range features an optimised motor design. Although motors below below 750W are not required to comply with the IE3 regulations, which come into force in January 2017, WEG’s customers and suppliers are said to value the way in which the company uses precious resources, striking a balance between costs and the environment. Compared with standard motors of the same output power in the market, the Eta-Plus motors are said to be 33% more efficient and require up to 25% less electrical power.
