The Health & Safety Event to introduce Machinery Safety Zone
22 October 2019
New for 2020, The Health & Safety Event is introducing the Machinery Safety Zone. Pilz UK has already confirmed participation in this dedicated area of the event, which will showcase the latest technologies and solutions for this vitally important workplace sector.
When it comes to machinery safety, there is a myriad of potential hazards that needs to be taken in to consideration. Moving parts can strike, crush or trap, while sharp edges pose the threat of cuts and severing injuries, pointed parts can cause puncture wounds, and abrasive surfaces grazes. Burns scolds and electric shocks are also a danger, along with injuries caused when machinery develops fault and operates in an unexplored way, or is used improperly through inexperience or lack of training.
Whilst efficiency and productivity are important, the safety of employees should always take precedent and managing the risks from equipment and machinery are important factors in purchasing decisions. Addressing this and helping attendees stay up to date and informed on all the latest machine safety issues, in the 2020 The Health & Safety Event will for the first time include a Machinery Safety Zone.
Covering many aspects of machinery safety including guarding, risk assessments, training, digitalisation, robotics & automation and safety sensors the Machine Safety Zone will bring together a unique range of seminars, practical workshops and suppliers for visitors who are actively looking for machinery safety solutions. With a zone and content programme designed to enhance the visitor experience, attendees will be able explore everything that is on offer.
The Machine Safety Zone already has two Premier Partners onboard - international leader in safe automation, Pilz, and Machine Safety.
