PTFE diaphragm in full flow
29 April 2013
Hydra-Cell pumps are now available with new style PTFE diaphragms that Wanner International claims will offer users full flow characteristics under flooded suction inlet conditions, when pumping the vast majority of aggressive chemicals.
The new diaphragms are available to fit Hydra-Cell G03, G04, P200 and P300 models and can be used in combination with plastic pump heads.
"The use of full flow PTFE diaphragms dramatically increases the number of applications where these seal-less, hydraulically balanced, multi-diaphragm pumps are suitable,” said Nick Herrington, marketing and technical support manager. "Hydra-Cell pumps can now be used in a myriad of chemical metering, dosing and transfer applications with no sacrifice in performance when compared to pumps with elastomeric diaphragms.”
The result of extensive research, development and field testing, the new PTFE diaphragms have been shown to provide over 4000 hours service life at 1000rpm under the most arduous duty conditions.
