Energy savings of up to 50%

With the new GA 7-15 kW VSD+ compressor range from Atlas Copco, it is reported that users can achieve energy savings of up to 50% compared to traditional fixed speed compressors.
The GA 7-15 VSD+ is 15% more efficient than Atlas Copco’s current Variable Speed Drive compressor (the GA 7-37 VSD), and also provides a leap in Free Air Delivery (FAD) of 12%.
This breakthrough in energy efficiency is made possible by Atlas Copco’s own interior permanent magnetic (iPM) motors which drive range. This is the first time Atlas Copco has manufactured the motors for its compressors.
The vertically mounted, IP66, oil-cooled, iPM motor, was specifically designed by Atlas Copco to match its screw element, and is fully enclosed, making it extremely reliable and maintenance-free.
