Simon Goodwin appointed MD at Weidmüller

Simon Goodwin has been appointed as managing director of Weidmüller Ltd in the UK. He brings a wealth of experience, with previous successful management appointments at renowned global companies including Omron Electronics and B&R Industrial Automation, where he was general manager for almost ten years.
In his new position Goodwin will have overall responsibility for developing and driving business forward, providing strategic leadership and overseeing all the company's activities in the UK and Ireland.
Commenting on his appointment, Goodwin said: "I am looking forward to working with the experienced teams at Weidmuller to develop business in the fields of Industrial automation and solutions, factory automation and device manufacturing. We have some significant new product ranges which we will be launching in 2016, and our return to the Drives and Controls show is a statement of our intent to further develop our presence in these markets."
