Safety Interlocks from elobau

These safety interlocks from elobau protect personnel by monitoring and interrupting the safety circuit when a guard door is opened. The guard is held closed by a locking solenoid until the stored energy hazard has dissipated. They also prevent machine damage due to an unintentional shutdown. To meet current worldwide standards, the safety interlock components cannot be easily bypassed. These switches have positive opening contacts and redundancy to guarantee that they fail to a safe state.

The interlocks have a locking force of up to 2500 N. Other features include solenoid locking, narrow metal body housing and metal actuating head, rotatable actuator head with top and side entry, actuator insertion funnel that increases entry area, straight, bent, and hinged actuators (including over-travel). Typical configuration is 4 contacts: 2 NC positively driven safety contacts, annunciation contacts and door and solenoid monitoring contacts. Versions with LED's are also available.

The interlocks are made of die-cast aluminium actuator head and housing and they have an IP67 environmental protection rating (oil and dust tight and water resistant). 

They have an operating temperature range of -20 to 55°C. The 4 contact elements are low current rated, silver alloy and gold flashed. The voltage ratings available are 24 VAC/DC, 110 VAC and 220 VAC.
