Ultrasonic sensors
09 August 2018
elobau UK will be introducing its new range of ultrasonic sensors at the Engineering Design show. The range includes five types of ultrasonic sensors, which cover a wide range of measuring and monitoring tasks, from distance measurement to object and position detection.

Three of the five sensor types are IO-Link compatible and therefore Industry 4.0 ready. There is also an ATEX-certified version for use in chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and a version specially designed for level measurement in mobile equipment, completes the range.
The use of ultrasonics makes it possible to reliably identify objects regardless of their material. Even objects made from reflective, matte or transparent surface materials can be captured, and the presence of moisture, dust or extreme temperatures is no barrier to operation.
The ultrasonic sensors from elobau have a measurement range of between 40mm and 8m. The switching distance can be set by the user and the switching state is visualised by LEDs on the sensor housing.
There are three different cylindrical designs available in two different housing materials which ensures they can be effortlessly integrated into any machine environment. The various operating modes of the sensors, combined with the different analogue and digital outputs, offer a solution for nearly every possible application. Stand C60
