Hydraulic line health indication

21 April 2017

Hedland variable area flow meters give a clear visible indication of hydraulic line health during operation, without the dangers of a person coming in close contact with operating machinery. A higher-than-usual flow reading may indicate a significant leak while and lower-than-usual flow reading may indicate a possible line blockage.

Constructed from a choice of aluminium, brass or stainless steel and with an accuracy of ±2%, the meters rugged construction enables them to work under a wide range of pressure up to 6000 psi/414 bar, temperatures up to 260°C/500°F and rigorous conditions encountered in industrial applications.

Meters are available with end fitting options of SAE threads, NPTF threads, BSPP threads, and code 61/62 flanges in sizes from ½” to 3” (6mm to 76mm).
