COMPLETE PRODUCTION LINE EVENT
31 October 2012
PPMA Show 2012 will take place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 25th to 27th September.
Aimed at those involved in the buying, financing or maintaining of machinery, the event caters to all the major UK industry areas including food & drink, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, household products and chemicals. In fact, the organisers claim that no matter what industry your organisation operates in, the PPMA Show will have the right machinery and equipment for your processing and packaging needs.
The exhibition will feature 200+ companies showcasing processing, packaging, vision, robotic and automation products and services.
Highlights will include Festo’s AirPenguins – autonomously flying robotic penguins.
Developed by Festo’s Bionic Learning Network (an alliance of educational establishments and specialist companies tasked with exploring bionic solutions for automation applications of the future), visitors will be able to see first hand how the AirPenguin technology has already transferred to ‘real world’ products in the form of gripper fingers for tripod robot systems.
For the second year, the show will put on The Manufacturing Forum. Billed as an ‘epicentre of discussion and debate’, the programme will include presentations on: Pack innovation and the processing line: an uneasy alliance?; Meeting sustainable goals; and Barriers to training and achievement.
In addition to the annual PPMA Awards, another key feature of the event will be the The Ones to Watch – awards that identify the processing and packaging machinery’s next generation of stars. They will celebrate promising young professionals who have already made an impression on the industry and who have an exciting future ahead of them.
