Gareth Jones joins ABB

Gareth joins from the Welsh drives brand Control Techniques where he worked for 27 years, joining initially as a sponsored graduate, and eventually leading the Nidec brand’s UK regional office. He also previously held senior roles in Control Techniques’ global marketing and leadership teams and holds a BSc in electrical and electronic engineering, along with an MBA.

Gareth will be managing ABB’s portfolio of drive products in the UK, including low voltage and systems drives, and will lead a team including sales and segment managers. He’ll also play a key role in growing relationships with ABB’s network of Value Providers.

“ABB’s channel network is a big differentiator from its competition;” he said; “It is my priority to make sure our partners and Value Providers are given the tools and the platform to do what they do best.”
