INTEGRATED SOLUTION FOR LOWER POWER RANGE
18 September 2012
Comprising servo-motor, integrated electronics and gear reducer built in a stainless steel housing without any edges or corners, Groschopp’s Silver Line integrated solution for the lower power range has been developed specifically for use in the food & beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
The Silver Line can be attached directly to various applications, saving space, material and assembly time – resulting in a lower total cost of ownership. The motors cover outputs up to 2.3kW, and have nominal torques up to 5.5Nm. The product is constructed from electro-polished stainless steel, which prevents any corrosion. The socket for the plug connection is welded on to the housing by laser, while screwconnections and holes have vanished below the housing surface. O-ring seals and plastic plugs in holes give a smooth and rounded off surface. The motor is based on the proven ‘Black Panther’ series of powerful servo-motors with high output density, which is achieved by winding the coil around the tooth. The Silver Line is also available without integrated electronics, when the customer wants to use its own controller. It also comes with standardised interfaces. The gear reducers are either worm or bevel-helical in design, both proven Groschopp products.
