Showcasing solutions providers
14 February 2025
Bringing together innovation, political discussion, a global stage for business and industrial collaboration, Hannover Messe 2025 takes place 31 March to 4 April

WITH A lead theme of “energising a sustainable industry” Hannover Messe 2025 will bring together numerous manufacturers and solution providers from the fields of hydrogen and fuel cells, Energy 4.0 and power engineering. Visitors from industry, science and politics gain an in-depth understanding of topics such as digitalisation, decarbonisation, energy efficiency, electricity self-generation, cost reduction, price volatility, and resilience.
"Energy efficiency and resilience are at the forefront of the manufacturing industry. At Hannover Messe, exhibitors show modern and robust energy systems for industrial applications. Only here can visitors experience the latest high-tech solutions for themselves,” says Basilios Triantafillos, global director Hannover Messe - energy, ComVac and global business and markets. “In one place, they find everything they need for a sustainable energy supply – from individual components and parts to using big data to optimise energy flow to the application of artificial intelligence.”
Smart manufacturing
Another area of particular focus this year will be smart manufacturing, featuring automation and sensor technology, robotics, and logistics automation, as well as drive and fluid technology. Artificial intelligence is also playing an increasingly pivotal role in this advancement.
“Artificial intelligence will revolutionise the entire value chain of manufacturing companies, and in doing so significantly boost their competitiveness. Visitors to HANNOVER MESSE 2025 will gain insights into available and upcoming applications in the market,” says Hubertus von Monschaw, global Director Trade Fair and Product Management Hannover Messe at Deutsche Messe.
Whether it is about industrial sensors, electric drives and controls, AI-supported engineering, or complete solutions for diverse industry applications, visitors will learn first-hand how they can optimise production to meet the growing demands in terms of productivity and sustainability.
In and around the Application Park at Hannover Messe, AI-enabled robots will be in action, for example, demonstrating how they learn to perform tasks and adapt dynamically to changing production environments. Their involvement makes production more efficient, especially when it comes to custom-made products or small batch sizes.
Drive and fluid technology is traditionally represented at the event in the odd-numbered years, with a wide range of German and international companies. And that's how it will be in 2025 as well. Under the Motion & Drives label, the exhibiting manufacturers will showcase cutting-edge applications and components for intelligent and sustainable production.
“With Hannover Messe, we are offering all exhibitors in the Smart Manufacturing area the opportunity to be embedded in a unique industrial innovation ecosystem, in which German and international companies from the general engineering, electrical and digital industries as well as the energy sector present efficient and sustainable solutions for industrial value creation now and in the future. This mix of research, business, startups, and political topics will provide a unique opportunity to connect with top-level decision-makers, technology scouts, experts, and media representatives from throughout the world,” says von Monschaw.
Partner country
This year's partner country for the event is Canada, which will exhibit under the theme “The future’s here”, describing the country’s focus on creating sustainable, environmentally friendly industries. The main Canada Pavilion in Hall 2 will highlight Canada’s national science and innovation ecosystems. Additional pavilions concentrate on topics such as artificial intelligence, automation, clean technologies, hydrogen, e-mobility, and robotics.
Accompanying events include the Canada Conference Stage in Hall 2, the Canada-Germany Business Summit, the Leaders’ Dialogue, the EUREKA Global Innovation Summit (GIS), and the Renewable Dialogue, as well as networking events highlighting innovation and business opportunities in Canada.
