High-Speed Data Transmission
29 October 2012
Supporting data-transmission speeds of up to 40 Gbit/s, Harting has introduced a new range of highperformance QSFP+ and SFP+ cable assemblies.

In addition to standard cable assemblies with cable sizes from AWG 24 to AWG 30, the company offers customised solutions including units with EEPROM programming.
Secure strain relief is realised through overmoulding of the PCB, providing robust assemblies for use in IP 20 environments such as cabinets and control rooms. Another key feature of the products is the QSFP+ back shell, which is one of the shortest on the market, making the cable assembly suitable for applications where space is limited.
No additional assembly is required, saving time and money compared to the use of individual piece parts and their associated tooling, thus reducing field installation time.
