High Temperature Rating
29 October 2012
In all stainless-steel housings, the new PI2 series of hygienic pressure sensors from ifm electronic is reported to be extremely versatile, as units can be used as simple looppowered two-wire transducers or as three-wire switches. The highvisibility LED display works in all modes.
ifm electronic offers the PI2 series with either a standard conical G1 process connection (PI28) or its own adaptable Aseptoflex Vario thread (PI27). The Aseptoflex Vario can be combined with one of many process adapters conforming to the commonly used hygienic standards.
As hygienic instruments for food and other processes are often exposed to high temperatures, the PI2 series is designed with a high temperature medium rating up to 145°C, and is therefore suitable for SIP and CIP processes.
