Improved protection
26 April 2013
Making them suitable for use in challenging conditions, HBM has produced IP68 versions of its U10M and U10S force transducers.

The cable is connected directly to the transducer to achieve the high IP68 degree of protection; this contrasts with other models that utilise a bayonet-type plug.
The transducers are based on strain gauge technology and are suitable for measuring both static and dynamic forces. HBM’s range of U10 force transducers has a characteristic sturdy, flat measuring body and features individual bending moment alignment.
The latest transducers are suitable for a range of applications such as in test benches set up in climatic chambers. The transducers are also suited to other applications with tough ambient conditions or outdoors.
All U10 transducers – from a nominal (rated) load of 12.5kN – are now available with the IP68 design.
