Vibration monitoring
19 August 2014
With its robust design, stainless steel housing, IP69K rating and maximum temperature of 125°C the VTV122 vibration transmitter from ifm electronic is suitable for use in harsh environments on rotating machinery with speeds in excess of 600rpm.

The device monitors plant and machinery to the ISO 10816 standard. The sensor measures true rms velocity, and these values are transmitted as an analogue signal (4-20mA) directly to the PLC, enabling the occurrence of potential damage to be detected at an early stage.
ifm electronic says the EVT range of M12 connectors are rated at IP69K and are designed to maintain the seal in the harshest of environments. No further accessories are needed, as the loop-powered VTV122 bolts onto the equipment and is ready to go.
