COMBINING THE flexibility of a smart camera with the ease of use of a 1D sensor in a compact 3D detection device, SensoPart's DTECT Object 3D is designed for a wide range of users in automation technology, including maintenance technicians, electrical and mechanical engineers, and commissioning engineers.

Using patented stereo technology with structured light, the device accurately measures volume information regardless of reflectivity and reliably detects even dark or hard-to-see objects.

Whether on vibratory conveyors or in assembly, DTECT Object 3D makes it faster and easier than ever to reliably detect the position or completeness of objects. For example, the system can accurately determine whether an object is lying prone or supine on vibrating conveyors. The desired “good” or “bad” condition can be set at the touch of a button, often eliminating the need for complex separation mechanisms—saving both time and costs.

The solution also excels at checking the completeness of containers or assemblies: deviations are reliably detected without complex parameterization. This makes the system ideal for flexible production processes where efficiency and precision are essential.

For application flexibility, two versions are available: the Close-Range Version (up to 200 mm), which is suitable for completeness or presence checks on objects in plastics and assembly technology or on vibratory conveyors; and the long-range version (up to 500 mm) suitable for completeness checks in packaging technology or for presence checks on conveyor belts

The intuitive operation of DTECT Object 3D is supported by a colour display on the device. The buttons allow quick adjustments of the field of view or relevant height to match the application—no external software required. After teach-in, the operating status or sensor result (“good/bad”) is displayed via the illuminated frame surrounding the device. Additional settings can also be easily configured using SensoTune software.

Features include up to 100 fps for high-speed processes; M12, 5-pin connection for easy integration as with standard sensors; compact F55 housing; multiple patented depth imaging technology; and intuitive colour display with depth image visualisation.
