Rubix expands UK MRO capability

19 May 2026

LEADING SUPPLIER of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) products and services, Rubix has expanded its capability within the UK, marking an industry-wide shift in how manufacturers can approach performance, reliability and supply.

Rubix’s expanded capability has been made possible through the integration of ERIKS UK and Ireland, acquired late last year, to create the largest and most comprehensive MRO and engineering solutions provider in the UK. Spanning essential categories – from mechanical power transmission through to industrial automation – the business now offers an extensive product and service portfolio alongside deep engineering, repair and reliability expertise, bolstered by a national network of around 3,000 colleagues.

As manufacturers face increasing operational pressures, the MRO model is evolving to reliably deliver essential products and services alongside hands-on technical expertise that advances business performance.

“Manufacturers are looking for much more than product supply; they’re looking for strategic support to address critical operational challenges”, says Vince McGurk, CEO of Rubix UKII. “Our expanded range of products and services, backed by deep specialist knowledge and technical expertise, means we can support customers across every stage of their operations, from uptime and productivity to sustainability, safety, working capital management and smarter, more efficient buying.

“We’ve grown our business to become a strategic partner to our customers, supporting local relationships with local expertise, enhanced by the capability, technical infrastructure and scale that extends across the UK and Rubix’s pan-European network. It’s that scale that allows us to provide greater certainty to every one of our customers, no matter the challenge.”

As Rubix becomes the largest MRO partner in the UK, and one of the largest in Europe, it represents a significant shift in the manufacturing space, moving it beyond products and supply and into measurable impact.

The combined business, which forms part of the wider Rubix Group, operates across the UK and Europe and generates €850m in revenues, with significant growth ambitions. For manufacturing customers, that scale brings security and certainty, with more than £75m of factory fresh stock and hands-on technical expertise and insight built over more than 200 years.

As businesses battle to remain competitive in the face of global challenges, a stronger MRO supply chain signals greater resilience and supports manufacturers to maximise their potential and position their businesses for a brighter future.

Rubix is unveiling its expanded capability for the first time during Smart Manufacturing Week (3 - 4 June) at the NEC, Birmingham. Find the company at Stand G20, where there will be a live demonstration of Rubix’s inventory management systems, alongside examples of critical equipment that has been repaired during recent projects, illustrating the full scale of Rubix’s expertise.

The stand will also showcase a range of technical products that are new to Rubix following the acquisition of ERIKS, including Industrial Hose, the Fenner range of Power Transmission products, Valves and Sealing products. These additions significantly broaden Rubix’s already extensive portfolio, providing customers with an even greater breadth of solutions from a single, trusted partner.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to see Rubix’s significantly enhanced Remote Smart Asset Management system and capability. This advanced offering enables manufacturers to monitor, manage and optimise critical assets in real time, driving greater uptime, reducing unplanned downtime and delivering measurable improvements in operational efficiency.
