Squeeze grip bellows
07 February 2019
Herga Technology’s 6449 series squeeze grip bellows offer a safe and reliable switching solution for mobility equipment used in rehabilitation, special needs and care.

With a diameter of 29 mm and a length of 148 mm, the pliable PVC bellows may be gripped, pressed or folded to provide an alternative light-touch air actuation method where standard dome-type bellows or pushbuttons are not practical. The cost effective range is available, as standard, with a blue grip and a choice of black or clear 2m connection tubes that suit a 4mm spout.
6449 series squeeze grip bellows are designed for use with Herga’s 6871 and 6872 air switches which are available with all major European approvals as well as in UL and CSA approved versions. The range offers back or side entry spout and a choice of latching or momentary SPCO and DPCO relay action for AC and DC voltages.
These air switched devices are part of a comprehensive range of switching and sensing solutions available from the Bury St Edmunds-based designer and manufacturer. Available for general purpose light- and heavy-duty industrial switching as well as a comprehensive offering of IEC and UL 60601-1 medically approved products, the range covers electrical foot switches and hand controls as well as Bluetooth® Smart closed network and USB controls.
A wide choice of mounting and interfacing variations to make selection straightforward whilst keeping costs to a minimum with many products available from stock. Custom versions modified electrical connection, special mountings, customer specified colours and logos etc. are available on request.
