Magflow Meters
08 October 2024
Adding to its SM range of magflow meters, which previously had a maximum flow rate of 100l/m, sensor specialist ifm electronic has introduced models with 300 and 600l/m capacities.
Both are available with a choice of seals appropriate to different media classes, making four new units in all.
Featuring the high levels of accuracy associated with earlier SM meters, the new versions also offer additional features and functions, for example empty pipe detection to confirm loss of the medium, and simulation of all process variables for test purposes. Another is the suppression of ‘noise’ in the low-flow range, avoiding movement resulting from vibration or heat being measured as flow.
All four new SM units operate on an 18 to 32V DC supply and feature two outputs. The outputs can switch 150 mA either PNP or NPN and can be configured for different functions.
