Complete Liquid Containment

If a pumped liquid is considered to be dangerous, toxic, or noxious, then 100% containment is essential and Hydra-Cell pumps guarantee complete containment. Pumps with dynamic seals are not an option, as even small leakages, more commonly known as diffusion, will escape in the form of potentially harmful vapour on the atmospheric side of the seal.

Although Can and Magnetic drive pumps also offer complete containment, they are invariably less efficient than Hydra-Cell diaphragm pumps. Unlike these pumps, Hydra- Cells do not use the pumped liquid as a lubricant and consequently can be used to empty tanks and can run dry indefinitely without damage.
