Affordable robot vision
25 June 2013
The scope of the economical Universal Robot from R. A. Rodriguez has been widened with the addition of vision.
Working in conjunction with vision specialists, Image House, R. A. Rodriguez can now supply its flexible robot arm as an intelligent, automatic pick/place and quality assurance device.
Universal Robot with vision is a standard, off the shelf package that comprises a robotic arm, appropriate gripper, Cognex smart cameras and software.
If the vision robot is for simple pick and place tasks, the standard Cognex camera system is the ideal choice, while for applications where capturing image detail is important a high resolution Cognex alternative is available. A software system developed by Image House allows the Universal Robot to be integrated with either of these camera packages.
