EPTDA expands in the Middle East & Africa
21 November 2013
The EPTDA (EMEA Power Transmission Distributors Association) used its 15th-anniversary celebrations to introduce new strategy
Celebrating its 15th anniversary on the occasion of its Annual Convention in September, the association announced its commitment to expand its footprint in the Middle East and Africa region, in addition to increasing efforts in Central and Eastern Europe. More than 20% of EPTDA members are currently based in emerging markets. And more are joining! A growing presence in the EMEA zone is opening new business channels for its members, as well as for the industry overall by broadening the network of reliable partners across the region, adding value for end users and strengthening the supply chain. This strategy will also help to raise awareness about EPTDA, its member companies and especially their products meeting established quality standards.
Recently, the association launched a brand new website featuring the "Product Locator” micro-site, a unique channel to promote members, their products and services to customers according to the highest standards. This powerful search engine is one-of-a-kind; it guarantees access to class A-brand suppliers and genuine products in more than 30 countries in EMEA now. See more at www.eptda.org/Product-locator
At the same time, EPTDA is focusing its energies on developing proper education and career platforms. Relentlessly striving to meet the need for qualified human resources in the industry, EPTDA works with the best-in-class companies to offer long term quality-driven professional opportunities (jobs, apprenticeship, internship, etc.) In collaboration with carefully selected engineering, technical and management institutions, it will bridge the gap between talents and businesses.
Overall, EPTDA provides members, PT/MC players and professionals with unique resources to fortify competitiveness, brand recognition and success. Market forecast, economic outlook, industry research and legal updates are one key benefit. Executive-level networking is another major strength, reaching climax at its Annual Conventions. These leading events in Europe, Middle-East and Africa attract decision makers from both the distribution and manufacturing communities in the industry. The 2013 convention, hosted in Venice, Italy, welcomed close to 400 business owners, key executives, engineers and leaders from 182 qualified manufacturing, distributing, and guest companies in the sector.
