Southern Manufacturing: Forward Motion

21 January 2014

Southern Manufacturing & Electronics returns to FIVE, Farnborough, on February 12th and 13th 2014. The popular and long-running event has evolved into one of the UK’s key showcases for motion, control and automation technologies.

Southern Manufacturing, nearing the end of its second decade, is arguably the number one annual show in the country for automation, motion and machine building. It’s cavernous 17,000m² purpose-built venue next to Farnborough Airport in Hampshire is absolutely crammed with the latest components, sensors, tools, OEM parts and specialist services from many of the world’s leading suppliers. For anyone involved in automation or control, this is an incredible opportunity to meet an amazing range of suppliers in one fell swoop. Its easy access, convenient location, free entry and free on-site car parking makes it a pretty much un-missable event for engineering professionals.

Nearly 800 exhibitors are expected for 2014 – the most ever – including many familiar international brands such as Fanuc, Hepco Motion, LG Motion, RS Components, Kawasaki Robotic, HAAS Automation, HPC Gears, Amada and many others. They are joined by literally hundreds of companies delivering a vast array of tooling, sub-assemblies, mechanical engineering and hydraulic components, machine vision systems, electronics, sensors and subcontract services.  There’s also a wide selection of service providers such as banks, regional development agencies and training facilities, and there’s even two days of free seminars covering both technical and business issues.

Admission to Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2014 is completely free to business visitors, and FIVE Farnborough provides abundant, free on-site car parking, superb access by road and public transport.
