Optimises machine design
22 April 2014
The new Thomson PC electric actuator series, available from INMOCO, offers an alternative to pneumatic cylinders, allowing machine designs to be simplified and made more compact, while also reducing energy consumption during operation and enhancing performance.

Sizing and selection of a unit from the PC series is straightforward, as is installation and commissioning. Their reliability in use leads to reduced maintenance compared to pneumatic alternatives; therefore, savings in time and money are ensured.
The performance of the PC electric actuators is said to be superior to pneumatic cylinders in several respects. They offer a higher power density, or smaller unit size for a given output. They are also more accurate in positioning and offer longer stroke lengths.
