High levels of EMC
22 October 2014
Binder has added a new range of panel mount connectors to its M12 A-coded products, which incorporates a shielding sheet that transfers the screen from the connector body to the PCB thus providing a high level of EMC.

Likely to be used in all types of control, automation, sensing and instrumentation equipment, the sheet allows the connector to be orientated at a variety of angles to simplify assembly. The new connectors are available with 4, 5, 8 and 12 gold plated dip-solder contacts in male and female format and in straight and right angle versions.
A connector body made from nickel-plated brass, gold-plated brass male contacts and bronze female contacts provide a life in excess of 100 mating cycles. Protection is to IP67 when mated.
