Graham Ellis retires from binder
30 June 2026
FOLLOWING A long and illustrious career in the connector industry, binder sales director, Graham Ellis will retire at the end of June.

“It’s time to take a break, although I am reluctant to give up on the work and leave the industry which has been in my blood for the last 47 years. Particularly the last 17 years at binder which have been the most enjoyable and rewarding of my working life," says Ellis. "Retirement, though, will give me more time for my outside interests, lowering my golf handicap and extensive travel plans with my family.”
Ellis stared work in 1975 as an apprentice at AWRE, Aldermaston, which lead to a move to ITT Cannon and the start of a distinguished career in the connector industry which includes successful roles at Harwin, Cinch, Molex and Amphenol. Joining binder’s new UK operation in 2009 as sales manager and helping establish the binder brand as a major player in the UK market before being promoted to Sales Director in 2021.
UK managing director for binder, David Phillips, says: “Graham’s impact and role in developing the UK market for binder cannot be understated and he will be a big loss to binder and the UK connector industry. His unrivalled knowledge, commercial experience coupled with his work ethic and sense of humour make him a unique personality. I speak on behalf of the whole company when I say it has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside the consummate professional and complete gentlemen that Graham has always been. He richly deserves a long, happy and healthy retirement doing the things he has always planned with his family.”
