Modular connection system
09 January 2017
At SPS IPC Drives TE Connectivity introduced its Intercontec 4.tec connection system. The modular concept allows each customer to choose the level of automation they want. Individual modules can be implemented separately. The degree of automated assembly is determined by the number of units required and the process reliability requirements.

"The advantage for the user is the huge amount of time saved in assembly," says TE’s Intercontec marketing lead Siegfried Funk.
"Automation of the shield connection alone reduces assembly times by some 30 percent and increases process reliability to 100 percent. At the same time, the EMC characteristics in the patented shield connection are improved to record levels. The new system enables servo connections to be made, with a consistent level of quality, without the use of specialist personnel, anywhere in the world, at any time.”
