Environmentally Friendly High Performance V-Belt

It is reported that Red Power-3, Optibelt’s newly designed, environmentally friendly, high performance V-Belt, not only delivers up to a 50% higher power rating with 97% efficiency levels, but is also maintenance free throughout the service life of the product.

Performance increases of 50% have been consistently achieved throughout extensive static and dynamic product testing and trials. Wear resistance, minimum stretch, flexible and abrasion proof qualities also contribute to a service life free of the need to re-tension.
Installation and use of Red Power-3 belts is comparable to standard belts, making them quick and easy to ‘drop into’ any conventional V-Belt drive system, without the need to change existing layouts or pulleys. This makes them particularly suitable for fast, on-site belt change-overs, resulting in immediate plant operating efficiency increases, energy consumption level reductions and maintenance free running, with extended product life.
Due to the design and higher power density of Red Power-3 belts, narrower pulleys and fewer belts are required than conventional belt drive configurations, meaning that bearing overhang loads can be reduced, smaller plant footprints can be achieved, along with significant on-site power consumption savings.
There is also significantly less waste arising out of the production process of the new Optibelt Red Power-3 belt compared to other types of high power transmission system, which along with its increased drive efficiency and waste removal, makes it a an environmentally friendly choice.
