Flexicon launches Flexi App on new website
01 March 2021
FLEXICON HAS launched Flexi App, a simple-to-use flexible conduit selection tool, accessible via the company’s brand new website at www.flexicon.uk.com
For any operator or contractor, it is critical to specify cable protection and accessories correctly to ensure optimum and safe performance for the environment. However, with so many variables to consider, such as the choice of material, resistance to certain chemicals or oils, UV performance and IP ratings to name a few, it can be a complex task to select the appropriate system with confidence.
Flexi App makes the process quick and easy, guiding the user through a series of questions in order to provide product recommendations from Flexicon’s portfolio of 60 metallic and non-metallic systems. The App takes into account the variety of environmental conditions and external hazards that vulnerable cabling may be exposed to, providing confidence and peace of mind.
The new website has been designed to help customers research and select the appropriate cable protection in whichever way suits their preferred method of specification. Alongside Flexi App, the range of online tools includes a new, live chat function, where an expert is on hand during office hours to advise and provide recommendations on the range of Flexicon flexible conduits, accessories and fittings.
An intelligent product catalogue also enables users to browse the full range of Flexicon systems, filtering their search by product, material, conduit or system type as well as selecting the base material, IP rating, fire performance criteria and any particular accreditations that need to be met.
For customers requiring a more in-depth product understanding for a particular industry sector or application type, the new website’s knowledge hub includes a wide range of tutorials and how-to-videos, and customers can also access an extensive portfolio of support materials, including chemical resistance charts, CAD files and drawings and specification sheets.
Colin Legg, Marketing Manager from Flexicon adds: "It is not uncommon for cable protection to be specified based on preference or previous experience and we find that many customers could be overlooking alternative cable protection systems which could offer enhanced performance.
"At Flexicon, we are continually refining our product portfolio to offer best-in-class performance; whether it’s to meet new standards or legislation, improve safety ratings or to introduce new product innovations that make it easier to install cable protection.
"That’s why, alongside the new Flexi App, we are now offering a wide range of online tools to help our customers select the best flexible conduit system for the application - ensuring that they have all the facts to help them make an informed choice."
