The essential problem-solving event

18 August 2026

The PPMA Show 2026 returns to the NEC in Birmingham from 22 to 24 September, bringing together the latest technologies, equipment and expertise for the processing and packaging industries

ALONG WITH wider economic pressures, the processing and packaging sectors are facing pressures to manage rising costs and sustainability expectations. It’s a matter of doing more with less, as the competition for labour and the drive for better performance intensifies. As the UK's foremost processing and packaging event, the PPMA Show 2026 will, asserts its organiser, point the way to long-term success.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover new technologies and learn from the experts shaping the future of the processing and packaging industry, with insights into the effective management of complex production environments and practical advice on reducing production line inefficiencies. Live demonstrations will showcase the latest innovations, while industry experts will be on hand to discuss real-world challenges and offer guidance on identifying and implementing effective solutions. With more than 350 exhibitors, PPMA Show 2026 will provide an opportunity to explore the latest developments in machinery, robotics, vision systems and automation, while meeting leading innovators and discovering how new technologies can address specific production needs.

This show will make it easy to compare options, explore the compatibility of different technologies, and find the systems to overcome production challenges. It will be of value to businesses in food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, household goods, and beyond.

Discover the possibilities

With a comprehensive line-up of live machinery demonstrations, the event will provide the opportunity to assess performance in real-time. There will be valuable insights into the improvement of processes, reduction of waste, and smarter use of resources.

Building on the success of the newly revamped seminar theatre, the PPMA Show 2026 will present expert-led talks on topics such as sustainability, smart manufacturing, and operational efficiency. Representing organisations of all sizes and specialisms, these interactive discussions are designed to convey actionable insights and inspire confidence

Besides the expert-led seminars, there will also be the opportunity to meet and mingle with thousands of show visitors. As the first day draws to a close, attendees will be able to unwind and reflect at the free networking reception, offering an opportunity to continue discussions and strengthen relationships.  All whilst enjoying complimentary refreshments and live music.

Top speakers

With innovation as a key theme, the PPMA Show 2026 will present the latest technology launches in the live demonstration theatre.
See a variety of exhibitors take to the stage and present their cutting-edge products and services, with representatives on hand to answer your questions.

A highlight of the event will be former Dyson CEO, Martin McCourt, whose presentation Think Big But Stay Small will take place on the final day of the show. McCourt will focus on the importance of balancing business acumen with vision and maintaining a mindset that makes young agile businesses successful in outmanoeuvring their giant competitors. He will draw on his extensive experience to demonstrate that a business that prioritises inventiveness, creativity and quality over mutating into a corporate giant is the key to resounding success.

Another notable keynote will come from acclaimed doctor and broadcaster Dr Kevin Fong, who has held prestigious positions with NASA and NHS England. Known for presenting programmes including BBC Radio 4 series Artificial Human, he will address the show audience on the opening day of the event.
