Twice The Power
31 October 2012
Adding to its range of high- and low-inertia servomotors, SEM has introduced a compact liquid cooled HW series, which is claimed to generate more than twice the power of the standard servomotor equivalent and excellent improved dynamic performance.
SEM has added the integral cooling jacket to the motor without any significant increase in size of the motor housing, while at the same time increasing stall torque on its 190 frame models to 134Nm with output power rising to 29kW. These figures represent nearly a three-fold increase in power density compared to SEM’s standard air cooled servomotors with the same flange size.
The new series is compatible with existing motors and uses industry standard flanges, customers are able to select from a variety of feedback devices from resolver through to high precision encoders.
